Rock Breaking Solutions is an Australian drilling & blasting contractor that used Nxburst to provide controlled blasting techniques for sensitive rock breaking applications for construction and quarrying.
Rock Breaking Solutions was asked to assist a client when incorrect drill patterns were used and the utilization of high-explosives lead to several large oversize boulders in the top stemming column in a bench blast. This specific oversize measured in at 5 metres x 5 metres x 6 metres totalling 150m3. Nxburst was used to efficiently blast the boulder controlling fly rock and creating the desired fragmentation.
